FAQs

  • When ‘Power’ light is on, it indicates that the toastie maker is switched on and heating. When ‘Ready’ light is on, it indicates that the toastie maker has reached the correct temperature and is ready to cook.
  • The extra height hinge feature of the toastie maker securely holds the bread in place, preventing it from sliding or squishing out of the cooking plate. This ensures that your toasties are perfectly filled without any mess. You no longer need to hold the bread while closing the top cooking plate, making the process much more convenient and hassle-free.
  • Always unplug your toastie maker and allow for it to cool down before cleaning it. Never immerse the main body, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid. Your toastie maker is coated with EasyClean non-stick coating (on Express Melt range) or DuraCeramic coating (on Turbo Crunch range), which can be easily and quickly wiped clean. Do not use metal or other abrasive scourer.
  • Of course. It conveniently folds up for stand-up storage. Keep your cupboard neat with the built-in cord wrap hidden under the base.
  • Please use heat-resistant plastic or wooden or silicone utensils when cooking or lifting food from the toastie maker. Avoid using sharp or metal objects as these will scratch the coated surface. Do not cut food on top of the cooking plate.
  • If the lid is difficult to close, you may have too much filling, or your bread slices may be too thick. Do NOT force the lid closed.
  • Turbo Crunch Button offers an instant temperature boost with a push of a button, delivering faster, crunchier and better toasties.
  • Push the button firmly until you hear the ‘CLICK’.
  • It means Turbo function has been activated and the product is currently heating up to a higher temperature.
  • Allow your sandwiches to toast for approximately 2 minutes, depending on the bread and filling. Then firmly push TURBO button till you hear a ‘CLICK’ and the white light is on. Check on toasties till ready for perfect browning and maximum crunch!
  • The TURBO button was pushed before the toastie maker was plugged in. You can choose to wait for approximately 2 minutes and start cooking, or until Turbo Light is off and Ready Light is back on if you do not wish to use Turbo function.
  • It is not possible to cancel Turbo immediately. Just turn the toastie maker on and wait for approximately 1 minute. The Turbo Light will go out and food can be then loaded.
  • Of course. You will just need to wait for a little while after the Turbo Light goes off, before pushing TURBO button again. The unit needs to cool down to normal heating temperature before TURBO can be activated again.
  • Yes. The unit may generate steam from between the cooking plates while food is cooking and when the top plate is opened. Take care when removing food from the toastie maker.
  • Yes. There might be a fine smoke haze being emitted from the unit during first use. It is due to the initial heating of the internal components.
  • The time required for one Turbo cycle varies depending on the bread, filling and ambient temperature.
  • Yes. Please be sure to remove the sticker on top plate before first use.
