FAQs

• Can you air fry without steam?

  Yes. By selecting any of the AIR FRY cooking modes (Air Fry, Turbo Crisp, Bake, Grill, Roast, Reheat) you can air fry without the steam function.

• What is Steam Fry?

  This function uses the fast crispy cooking of an air fryer with the addition of steam during the cooking process. This retains moisture in the food, creates higher and more even cooking temperatures resulting in a tender, juicy result.

• What functions use steam?

  The following functions use steam – STEAM FRY, STEAM, STEAM CLEAN.

• Can I put other liquids in the water tank?

  Only water should be used to fill the water tank to cook with. White vinegar may be added with water to descale the air fryer – refer to cleaning instructions.

• What happens when I open the door during cooking?

  This will pause the cooking program, suspend the timer and switch off the heat. The internal light will also turn on. Closing the door will automatically restart the program. If the door is left open for longer than 5 minutes the oven will power off.

• Where do I store the accessories?

  The handle, removable wall and baskets store inside the main oven cavity. The large and small roasting and Air Fry. Trays nest together and fit inside the accessory drawer under the main oven cavity.

• How do I remove the centre oven wall?

  The wall easily slides in and out of the middle of the oven cavity – there is no ‘wrong way’ to insert the wall, it is reversible.

• Are the accessories dishwasher safe?

  Yes. The baskets, trays, removable oven wall and handle are all dishwasher safe

• What is the MATCH function?

  Allows you to mirror the function, temp and time settings from zone 1 to zone 2 without having to repeat program in the settings. Note this function can only be used when the centre wall is inserted (dual zone).

• What is the SYNC function?

  Automatically syncs both zones to finish cooking at the same time even if they have different cooking times. The zone with the longest cook time will start first, then the shorter cook time will begin, allowing both zones to finish at the same time. This is ideal for cooking fast food style items, whether frozen or chilled.

  The maximum time difference between each side is pre-set to a maximum 45 minutes, to allow the finished food quality of both zones to be at their optimum. If a time difference greater than 45 minutes is set the display will flash and both timers will return to zero, and the air fryer will not start. Simply re-program the timers to be within a maximum difference of 45 minutes, press Sync, then Start. Allows both zones to finish cooking at the same time. Program function, temp and time for both sides will be set and the shorter time cooking zone will delay start.

  Note this function can only be used when the centre wall is inserted (dual zone).

• Why is the air fryer beeping?

  Halfway through the programmed cook time an audible alert will sound (5 beeps) and display ‘FLIP’ on the display as a reminder to turn the food or shake the basket to ensure best cooking results. When cooking is complete an audible alert will sound (3 beeps) before the oven turns itself off.

• Are there lights inside the oven?

  Yes, each zone has an internal light to easily check food. The lights activate when the oven door is opened. They can also be manually switched on using the ‘Light” button on the control panel; the light will remain on for 30 seconds then auto switch off. The lights will also illuminate 1 minute before the end of the cooking time to alert user that cooking is almost finished. When cooking program has finished the light will illuminate for 10 seconds before switching itself off. These internal bulbs cannot be accessed/changed by users.

• How do I use the basket handle?

  To remove the Baskets from the Air Fryer use the Removable Handle. Squeeze the Handle to insert into the clasp on the Basket and use the same action to remove the Handle. Do not remove hot baskets without the handle.

• How do I program one zone when the other zone is already cooking?

  Press Start/Pause, then program the other side as per standard instructions. Add food and press Start/Pause. Both sides will now cook together.

• Can metal utensils be used?

  Metal utensils are not advised to be used as they can damage the non-stick coating. We recommend using nylon or wooden utensils.

• Is it dishwasher safe?

  The cooking drawer and air fryer tray are dishwasher safe. For a more intense clean the STEAM CLEAN function can be used to lift food and grease from inside the cooking drawer using steam.
