Choc-Cherry Pudding Slow Cooked

  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1⁄3 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 200g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 200g glace cherries
  • ½ cup choc-chips
  • Ice-cream, to serve
  • For the topping:
  • 1⁄3 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 cups boiling water


  1. Combine flour, cocoa and sugar in a large bowl. Add combined butter, milk and eggs; stir until smooth. Pour mixture into the Slow Cooker pan. Sprinkle cherries and choc-chips evenly over the surface.
  2. To make the topping, combine the cocoa and brown sugar. Sprinkle over the surface. Gently pour the boiling water over the mixture.
  3. Using a slow cooker, cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
  4. Serve hot, with ice cream.
