Two of Sunbeam's leading products - the Café Series® Planetary Mixmaster® (MX9200) and the SecretChef™ Electronic Sear and Slow Cooker (HP8555) - are in the running to be recognised as Australia's favourite small appliances in the Australian Women's Weekly Product of the Year Awards.
Both products have been named as finalists in the awards, which offer readers of Australian Women's Weekly a chance to vote for their favourite Australian products.
The awards feature a panel of expert judges and the team from the magazine rating more than 800 entries based on quality and value-for-money.
Sunbeam Marketing Manager, Nicole Cowley said it was a great accolade to be nominated by a panel of experts - and to be ultimately judged by consumers.
"Both products are flagship products for us in their respective categories and the nomination is testament to their quality and value to the consumer," she said.
Sleek and modern in design, the Café Series® Planetary Mixmaster® offers the ultimate in performance, design and durability. Constructed fully from die-cast metal and featuring a 1,000 watt powerful torque control motor with 12 variable speed settings, it ensures superior mixing control and guaranteed results every time.
The product was designed by Sunbeam's expert in-house designers based on consumer insights into the day-today use of mixers.
It also features a large, intuitive LCD screen showing both selected speed setting, mixing duration and pause function.
Exclusive in the market, the in-built timer can be set to count up to, or down from 20 minutes, and can also assist the user when the mixing is complete and the cake is in the oven, as it doubles as a kitchen timer when no speed is selected.
SecretChef™ Electronic Sear and Slow Cooker has been designed to make life easier and is an all-in-one cooker that sears and slow cooks, with no need for separate pans or to even use the stovetop. It can used as a fry pan or slow cooker that can create traditional roast dinners, mouth-watering soups, delicious desserts and of course slow-cooked casseroles and curries. With its 5.5 litre capacity, it is a perfect addition to the family kitchen.
"Both products have been recognised for offering excellent quality and value for money and we're sure consumers will agree," Nicole said.
Australian Women's Weekly readers will have six weeks to vote for their favourite products when the March edition goes on sale on February 22.
