It's official: Sunbeam is the number one choice in small appliances for Australian consumers, with the Sunbeam Slow Cooker being voted Winner and the Sunbeam Mixmaster® Runner Up in the 2009 Australian Women's Weekly Product of the Year awards.

The votes are in and it's clear that SUNBEAM is the consumers' top choice, with the Sunbeam HP5520 5.5L Slow Cooker taking out First Prize in the prestigious Women's Weekly Product of the Year awards (small appliances category).

The Slow Cooker was voted by thousands of Women's Weekly readers as the winner in the best small appliance category. Consumers voted on areas such as value, design and functionality, reinforcing Sunbeam's leadership in these areas.

The Sunbeam HP5520 5.5L Slow Cooker delivers enticing, family-sized, healthy meals with the convenient slow cooking process. Serving 8-10 people, its features include 3 heat settings, a dishwasher-safe crock insert and glass lid, along with a wrap-around heating element which provides even heat distribution.

In addition, Sunbeam has been awarded the runner's up prize in the same category, with the Sunbeam MX8900 Café Series Mixmaster coming in at a close second.

The Sunbeam Café Series Mixmaster is the ultimate in the Mixmaster® range, designed with a solid brushed die-cast metal body and featuring patented twin-motor technology. Other features include 3-way beating action, 12 electronic speeds and two stainless steel mixing bowls (4.4L and 2.1L).
