MasterChef contestants to slice and dice with Sunbeam in 2010

MasterChef has selected Sunbeam as a strategic partner for the second season of Channel Tens 2009 runaway ratings success, MasterChef.

At the top of its field, MasterChef was the highest rating show on TV last year with an average of two million viewers per episode at the peak of the show. CEO David Jackson says "Sunbeam is thrilled to be involved with such a popular, relevant program which is engaging consumers by reinvigorating their love of cooking."

This agreement will see Sunbeam appliances used across all the TV show's best loved segments including the Pressure Test and the Invention Test in the MasterChef Kitchen.

All of the contestants have had training sessions on the Sunbeam range to familiarize themselves with the functionality & versatility of the products to ensure the contestants have confidence in the products to help them deliver winning dishes to progress through the competition. Sunbeam products will also feature in the MasterChef house where the contestants live throughout the competition, giving them daily access to Sunbeam appliances.

The partnership will be backed up by extensive TV advertising in addition to a strong online presence on the MasterChef site, where consumers are rushing to get access to the latest news & recipes from the show.

In addition to the MasterChef partnership and TV advertising across high rotating programs, Sunbeam will also be launching the "Dine with a MasterChef" promotion which kicks off on the 1st April. This fantastic promotion gives five lucky consumers the opportunity to win a two night trip to Sydney with three friends to dine at the award winning Becasse restaurant in Sydney, enjoying an eight course degustation dinner hosted by Executive chef Justin North.

This highly aspirational prize will be supported by a cashback promotion across 32 products and all stores will receive a POS kit containing posters, redemption instructions, swing tags & tent cards.
