- Yes! All of our products use a non-stick coating that is not Dupont Teflon. Our non-stick coating is safe when used for cooking. In addition, our electric products are designed to reach maximum temperatures well within limits that causes the non-stick coating to release fumes.
There could be many possible factors. Here are some solutions:
- Wash potatoes thoroughly and dry before frying
- Use fresh potatoes
- Add slightly more oil
- Cut potatoes into smaller piece
- No oil needed with an air fryer. However, just a tablespoon (or less) of oil can add an extra crunchy layer to your food. Add oil to your ingredients before putting them in the fryer. Oil cannot be put inside the fryer basket.
Seasoning your DuraCeramic coating will help you get superior food release and easy clean-up. Follow these steps to season your air fryer.
Spread 1 tablespoon of canola or vegetable oil onto the base and sides of the basket with a paper towel or soft cloth to evenly coat the cooking surface. Heat on 150°C for 10 minutes or until the basket starts to smoke.
Turn the air fryer off. Let it cool down to room temperature and wipe away excess oil. Do not wash.
Repeat the seasoning process regularly for optimum performance.
