For this recipe, you'll need a Sunbeam Multi Zone Air Fryer Oven.
Ingredients:
- 6 quality sausages
- 2 tbsp oil
- 150g plain flour
- Generous pinch of salt
- 3 medium eggs
- 200ml milk
Let's make it:
Step 1:
Remove the air flow rack from the bottom of each drawer. Place 3 sausages in each of the drawers.
Step 2:
Select match 1=2, air fry and adjust the temperature and time to 180°C for 8 minutes, this will then automatically programme and start both compartments cooking at the same time and temperature.
Step 3:
Whilst the sausages are cooking prepare your batter mix. Place the flour and salt into a mixing bowl, add the eggs and half the milk.
Step 4:
Whisk together until a smooth thick batter is formed, gradually add the remaining milk. Continue to whisk until smooth.
Step 5:
Once the sausages have finished cooking, turn them over so the brown side is underneath.
Step 6:
Add 1 tbsp oil to each basket and gently pour in the batter mix, splitting this evenly between the two. Select 1=2, air fry and adjust to 180°C for 20 mins.
Step 7:
Once cooked remove from the basket and serve with mashed potato, onion gravy and peas.
Cook's Tip:
se good quality sausages for this recipe due to the high meat, less fat content. Cheaper sausages with more fat can produce lots of oil when cooking, which tends to create additional smoke in an air fryer.
