For this recipe, you'll need a Sunbeam SteamFry Air Fryer + Steam.

You will need:

  • 1 whole duck
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • Salt and pepper

Let's make it:

Step 1:

Prepare the Duck - Pat the duck dry with paper towels. Prick six holes in the skin to allow fat to render.

Step 2:

Generously season with Chinese five-spice, salt, and pepper, rubbing it all over the duck.

Step 3:

Place the duck breast-side down in the air fryer. Set to 180°C and cook for 60 minutes on Steam Fry mode. Remember to flip the duck breast-side up and cook for the last 15 minutes.

Step 4:

Once done, wrap the duck in foil and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Step 5:

While the duck rests, prepare the Duck Fat Potatoes. Pour the rendered duck fat from the air fryer into a bowl.

Step 6:

Toss the quartered potatoes in ½ cup of the duck fat, seasoning with salt and pepper.

Step 7:

Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket. Set to 200°C on air fry mode and cook for 30 minutes, shaking halfway through.
