For this recipe, you'll need a Sunbeam Mini Snack Press & Grill.

You will need:

  • 1 pack, 320g ready rolled shortcrust pastry
  • 1 small tin (200g) sausage and beans
  • 2 x 50g slices cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for brushing
  • Milk for brushing the bakes

Let's make it:

Step 1:

Unroll the pastry onto a floured surface. 

Step 2:

Roll out a little to increase the size. 

Step 3:

Cut into half, then half again so you have 4 pieces. 

Step 4:

Trim the edges, if necessary, (these need to fit into your Mini Snack Press & Grill) 

Step 5:

Remove the small sausages from the tin of beans and slice in half lengthways. 

Step 6:

Place the cheese onto 2 of the pastry slices. Divide the sausage and beans over the top, allowing a small gap around each edge. 

Step 7:

Dampen the edges all round with a little water before covering with a pastry lid. 

Step 8:

Mark the edges all around with a fork to create a good seal. Brush with the milk. 

Step 9:

Brush the plates with a little vegetable oil and pre-heat the Mini Snack Press & Grill. 

Step 10:

Add the pasty and bake for 7 - 8 mins before carefully removing. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
