For this recipe you'll need a Sunbeam SteamFry Air Fryer + Steam.
Ingredients:
- 500g pork mince
- 2 Tbsp (40ml) soy sauce
- 3 tsp finely grated ginger
- 2 spring onion stalks, finely sliced (plus extra to garnish)
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp (20ml) sesame oil
- 225g tin water chestnuts, drained, finely chopped
- 50 round storebought dumpling wrappers
For the dipping sauce
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp water
- 2 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch chilli flakes (optional)
Let's make it:
Step 1:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork mince, soy sauce, ginger, spring onions, garlic, sugar, sesame oil, water chestnuts and a generous pinch of salt. Mix well to combine the dumpling filling.
Step 2:
Take one dumpling wrapper and spoon in 1.5 tsp of the meat mixture into the centre. Using a small bowl of water, dip your finger into the water and then gently moisten the edges of the wrapper, then press to enclose the filling. Pleat the edges of the dumpling, if you like. Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.
Step 3:
Place a small sheet of baking paper (or spray the basket with spray oil) into the base of the Sunbeam SteamFry Air Fryer and fill the basket with dumplings (you should fit 15 in for each batch). Ensure the dumplings are well spaced and not touching, or they will be difficult to separate when cooked. Press the STEAM button and set the timer for 6 minutes.
Step 4:
While the dumplings are steaming, combine the dipping sauce ingredients in a jug and mix well to combine.
Step 5:
Remove the dumplings from the steam air fryer and continue to cook in batches of 15 until they are all cooked. Serve the dumplings with the dipping sauce.
