- 1 cup natural yogurt
- ½ cup lemon juice
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp salt
To serve – lemon wedges, chopped fresh oregano
Let's make it:
Step 1:
In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, tomato puree, smoked paprika, cinnamon, oregano, ground ginger and salt.
Step 2:
Add the chicken and stir to coat.
Step 3:
Place into the fridge and marinate for at least 4 hrs, ideally overnight.
Step 4:
Thread the chicken onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, ensuring that these fit inside your air fryer before use.
Step 5:
Place the skewers into the air fryer in a single layer. These will look snug until they start to cook and shrink a little.

Cook on Air Fry 180°c, for 20 – 25 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Step 7:
Once cooked remove from the air fryer, loosely wrap in foil for 5 minutes to rest.
Step 8:
Arrange on a large board, drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice, scatter over the chopped oregano.
