For this recipe, you'll need a Sunbeam Alinea Wide Ceramic Air Fryer.
You will need:
- 1 x 400g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 medium sized onion, chopped
- 1 large handful of parsley, chopped
- 1 small garlic clove, chopped
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 50g breadcrumbs
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Olive oil/spray oil
To serve wraps, hummus, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and hot sauce.
Let's make it:
Step 1:
Pat the chickpeas dry with some clean kitchen paper.
Step 2:
Blitz all the ingredients (apart from the oil) together until smooth. If you are using a masher, mash the chickpeas first before mixing with the other ingredients (you will need to finely chop the onion and garlic, if using this method).
Step 3:
Shape into 8 x 7cm patties.
Step 4:
Brush the air flow tray with a little oil.
Step 5:
Place the patties onto the tray and brush or spray with oil.
Step 6:
Cook on Air Fry 180°C for 18 – 20 minutes. Turn halfway through.
Step 7:
Once cooked remove from the air fryer and warp in some foil to keep warm.
Step 8:
Warm the wraps, this can also be done in the air fryer.
Step 9:
Spread each wrap with some hummus, top with the falafel and the salad, drizzle with hot sauce adding in some of your favourite pickles. Roll and serve.
