Sunbeam Torino grinder

The Sunbeam Torino grinder with belt-driven conical burrs minimise motor vibrations for a more consistent grind size. This system separates motor heat away from the beans to deliver a fresher grind. The unique Tap & Go™ feature allows easy one touch grinding directly into the group handle for the fastest espresso experience.
  • Australia's First Triple Thermoblock

    Australia's First Triple Thermoblock
At home where time and convenience is of the essence, the Thermoblock technology heats water up much faster than a boiler.
Two of the thermoblocks are dedicated to ensure optimum temperature stability. Heating only the water required for extraction ensures a fresh espresso shot every time.
The third thermoblock provides simultaneous, powerful steam performance for professional silky milk texturing.

  • Manual Extraction Arm and Shot Clock

Manual Extraction Arm and Shot Clock
In conjunction with the LCD screen, these features allow you to flex your barista skills and experiment with espresso shot variations to match different beans or your different moods!

  • Extraction Pressure Gauge

    Extraction Pressure Gauge
Gives the user live feedback during the coffee making process showing the pressure of the extraction (which indicates the quality of the espresso pour).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, works great ! I bought this three months ago and makes the best coffee, better than my local coffee shops. Takes a little while to get the feel of it and the grinder setting, but pours beautiful coffee. I always use fresh coffee beans

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Been replaced twice and still doesn’t work First one out the box had an error that even sunbeam didn’t understand. They “repaired” it but it came back with the same problem. When it displays “error” you can’t use the machine and the only way to get around it is to switch off the machine at the power point and sometimes that resets it, but some days we couldn’t get it to clear the error at all. Called consumer affairs as sunbeam wanted us to now go through their 3rd party repairer (mind you this is a brand new machine for $2000 should just work) we didn’t want to box it up again and pay for kore postage. Consumer affairs helped us write a letter to David Jones who were very accommodating and replaced the machine. The second machine however, is stuffed. It leaks the entire contents of the water holder all over the bench. Contacted David Jones and they refunded us. From what I understand you cannot get the machine repaired as to get into the are you need to break single use plastic clips which there are no replacement parts for. Sunbeam Torino = Landfill

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Constant and worsening problems I purchased the machine and grinder a couple of months ago. It produced espresso at first, then sporadically and now nothing at all. It’s very frustrating. All the gauges show full steam pressure but nothing happens. I tried different sized inserts, cleaning it, changing settings etc. but nothing helps. The constant trying new things to get it working is so frustrating that I’ve stopped using it. There’s no simple ‘make a coffee’ but a rigmarole of cleaning, re grinding, washing things out to get a cup of coffee. I contacted Customer Support via the website but have heard nothing in a week. I am glad other people think it’s marvellous but my experience is very different. It looks amazing and the grinder, grinds I suppose. That’s worth a couple of stars but the machine has been very unreliable for me. It’s so disappointing - I had high hopes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I purchased my Torino at Nunawading outlet on 25 February 2019. Its first use was on 1 March. After much experimenting with the coffee grind and level of tamping, I finally achieved an extraction in the green zone. Then the steamer did not work! The next day, after many tries, the steamer decided to work BUT now the tank was leaking on to the bench below. The tank was NOT overfilled. Also, when the machine is heating up for the first time in the morning, a rush of steam come out from somewhere - not from the steam wand - and when in use water seems to be constantly dribbliing into the drip tray. I have made sure the tank is firmly inserted but to no avail. I am not happy. I had a Sunbeam Nespresso E Series machine for 10 years with no real problems. Can someone tell me where the Serial Number is hiding?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great domestic set up I spent a long time deciding between a reconditioned small commercial machine for Home and one of these - mainly because I like the style. I am (after two months) totally happy with the purchase. It takes a bit of practice to get a consistent espresso but that is due to my lack of experience. I get a really good espresso in two out of three and the third is average - but that is down to me. I’ve seen some complaints about the “messy grinder” and excessive use of water, that is simply a function of how these work in my opinion... the grinder is no messier than any other than the other two $200 plus machines I’ve had and I don’t think it uses excessive water. I would definitely buy it again if purchasing new. I got mine on sale and definitely recommend you do the same. My only criticism is the huge amount of packaging for the machine and grinder, but at least it is almost all recyclable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I can not fault this machine Very enjoyable to use and i am getting a great coffee everytime This is not a auto machine. You need to understand. you have to know what your doing to get a great coffee time and time again Before buying i read the reviews and was unsure if i would be happy with this machine..i must say i am glad i did buy. Some people think if you buy a good machine you get good coffee this is not true. If you buy this machine and dont know how to make a coffee with a manual machine take it with you and do a coffee making course. I did this with my old machine and what a difference it makes .. Want a cool retro coffee machine buy this one

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pre-infusion doesn't work. Inconsistent shots. My wife bought this a week ago for my birthday. This could have been such an awesome machine, but the design of the pre-infusion is flawed. NO water flows during the pre-infusion stage because it is always priming the water pipes. This happens because there is no anti-drain back valve in the water line, so after each shot the water drains back out. You can work around this by always priming the machine immediately prior to fitting the group head, but you need to be very quick and it is not consistent. Such a shame for an otherwise great looking machine. It also has no over-pressure relief, so be careful if you over tamp the shot.
