Sunbeam Torino grinder

The Sunbeam Torino grinder with belt-driven conical burrs minimise motor vibrations for a more consistent grind size. This system separates motor heat away from the beans to deliver a fresher grind. The unique Tap & Go™ feature allows easy one touch grinding directly into the group handle for the fastest espresso experience.
  • Australia's First Triple Thermoblock

    Australia's First Triple Thermoblock
At home where time and convenience is of the essence, the Thermoblock technology heats water up much faster than a boiler.
Two of the thermoblocks are dedicated to ensure optimum temperature stability. Heating only the water required for extraction ensures a fresh espresso shot every time.
The third thermoblock provides simultaneous, powerful steam performance for professional silky milk texturing.

  • Manual Extraction Arm and Shot Clock

Manual Extraction Arm and Shot Clock
In conjunction with the LCD screen, these features allow you to flex your barista skills and experiment with espresso shot variations to match different beans or your different moods!

  • Extraction Pressure Gauge

    Extraction Pressure Gauge
Gives the user live feedback during the coffee making process showing the pressure of the extraction (which indicates the quality of the espresso pour).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pre-infusion doesn't work. Inconsistent shots. My wife bought this a week ago for my birthday. This could have been such an awesome machine, but the design of the pre-infusion is flawed. NO water flows during the pre-infusion stage because it is always priming the water pipes. This happens because there is no anti-drain back valve in the water line, so after each shot the water drains back out. You can work around this by always priming the machine immediately prior to fitting the group head, but you need to be very quick and it is not consistent. Such a shame for an otherwise great looking machine. It also has no over-pressure relief, so be careful if you over tamp the shot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our New Love We had the twin turbo for years and it was fabulous, but I must admit, I like the feeling of having more control with this machine. It's worth the time and beans to master it, because my husband and I are making superb coffees now. I must admit there is nothing more romantic than to wake to the sound of my husband grinding beans. The only thing is, we both want to be the ones to make the coffees now, so that we can play with out new toy, and thus the coffee intake has gone up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value, Aussie design world-beating Was looking at the German and Italian equivalents (Bezzera and ECM) and suddenly the Torino came on the market. What a find! Great build, Aussie design, auto or manual operation - draws a brilliant coffee. Best thing? Comes with belt-driven grinder (quiet), tamper, milk jug...the lot. Got a discount off RRP from the retailer too - impossible to resist. Like all good machines, takes practice and patience to get optimal coffee result, but well worth it. We love our Torino.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish combo Love the machine but the grinder is a nightmare trying to recalibrate. Used 1.5kg of coffee beans trying! Aim to get the extraction to 20-22 seconds. Also finding that where the basket is loose in the group handle (so that it empties easier), on extraction the basket rises slightly and causes water to come out over the top. I now use the basket from my old machine's group handle and have at last got a perfect extraction. I have owned a Sunbeam Cafe Series machine since 2008 so am experienced in using them. Customer service at Sunbeam have been helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I can not fault this machine Very enjoyable to use and i am getting a great coffee everytime This is not a auto machine. You need to understand. you have to know what your doing to get a great coffee time and time again Before buying i read the reviews and was unsure if i would be happy with this machine..i must say i am glad i did buy. Some people think if you buy a good machine you get good coffee this is not true. If you buy this machine and dont know how to make a coffee with a manual machine take it with you and do a coffee making course. I did this with my old machine and what a difference it makes .. Want a cool retro coffee machine buy this one

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking machine but very temperamental We upgraded from the sunbeam cafe series twin thermoblock model that we've had for 4 yrs, mastered the coffee extraction with that model, however we have had this one for a week and have gone through a bag of beans with about a 25% success rate. Can't understand how they can be so different and can't get through to customer support for any useful tips. I'm sure once we work it out it will be just as awesome (hopefully better) than the previous model.
