Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless. I actually bought this beater a while ago but only really started using it in the last few months. Aside from the beaters supposedly being stainless steel but in fact being chrome, ‘sqeaky’ finish and try getting a magnet to attach and it won’t, it has no guts and overheats very quickly. I’ve made the same stuff I’ve always made and last time I had to wait for it to cool down, and this time again, before I’ve finished my batter, which is just now sitting there waiting to be finished. Apparently it’s only suitable for mixing very light mixes. I’m pretty sure it won’t last much longer and I’ve barely used it a half dozen times so I’m looking for a replacement. Definitely not looking at a Sunbeam again. Even the handle is loose as in the top and bottom seem not to be properly joined. Never had a problem with my old Breville till it died after about 15 years so I’ll be looking there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sunbeam mixmaster Solid mixer that works well and has plenty of power without breaking the bank. You will end up using this gadget 90% of the time for cake mixtures, pancakes, dough etc. only reason I gave it 4 stars was one of the dough hooks was defective. Not properly formed. Upon returning opened another box same problem. I strongly advice check all attachment before leaving store as there obviously is a quality control issue with their dough hooks. Apart from that small hiccup great hand mixer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only used a few times It was great when i first used it. After about 5 times of yse the plastic part that holds the beaters in place snapped off! Considering it cost $70 i would have been better off buying a $10 one. More expensive doesn't always mean better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mixer So handy. Easy for my little Granddaughter to handle on her own. Doesn't need me to lug out the Kenwood when she wants to bake some thing. Great!!! So I am really glad I bought it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust and quietly efficient. My old hand mixer died and I was replacing it. When I married (in 1964) my parents gave me a Sunbeam Master as a gift. I was FURIOUS when it stopped working in 1992. At first I bought hand mixers - just wherever it was easy to pick one up. After the ladtest one hit the bin, I thought, time for another Sunbeam. The sound of it, the efficiency and reliability of it. Aaah. Happy again. Like an old reliable friend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hand Mixer Recently purchase hand mixer and haven't put it down. I have made many cheesecakes, cakes and pavolovas with it. It allows a uniform mix, very easy to use with different connections and speed. It is fantastic for whipping cream, I would recommend this to everyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great while it lasted I got this a couple of months ago and loved it while it worked! However when I made cookies it shorted. I was advised to use the dough hooks and that’s why it didn’t work. So next time I make my cookies I use the dough hooks and BAM it shorts again!! Never again to be revived. I’ve made these cookies with other hand beaters without murdering the mixers. However these ones just don’t seem to be able to handle any sort of dough. My advice: if you’re beating eggwhites... go for this beater, if your making anything thicker, steer clear.
